Destino Vera will be present at FITUR 2025 with a renewed and enthusiastic approach. Mayor Alfonso García has stated that the town arrives at this important international event «with its homework done», consolidating itself as one of the main tourist destinations in Spain. Recent achievements include its declaration as an Andalusian Tourist Municipality and its nomination as Best Blue Destination 2024 at the prestigious Sund & Blue Congress. In addition, the “Your Winter Beaches” project has been awarded the Prize for the Best Innovative Tourist Initiative 2024 by Viajar magazine, granting it the VIAJAR Signature seal of quality.

Commitment to De-seasonalization and Tourist Diversity

These recognitions are the result of the efforts of the City Promotion area to diversify and de-seasonalize the tourist offer. Councilor Carolina Pérez has highlighted the commitment to offering varied and quality experiences throughout the year. Initiatives such as “Your Winter Beaches” promote outdoor leisure and sports activities outside the summer season. Also noteworthy is “Vera, Telecommuting City”, aimed at attracting digital nomads, and the development of the Bayra Archaeological Park on Cerro del Espíritu Santo, which will highlight the historical heritage of the ancient Nasrid city.

Boost to the Tourism Sector

The arrival of high speed to the Almeria Levante and the first AVE stop in Vera within the Mediterranean Corridor will enhance connectivity and consolidate Vera as a strategic enclave in the province. This advance will significantly improve access to the municipality, favoring the growth of tourism.
