Holy Week

The Lenten season in our town announces, with its transfers and Stations of the Cross, the emotion that residents and visitors will share during these days. The different brotherhoods take to the streets with their sacred titular images, keeping alive a heritage that has endured over the centuries and will continue to be a fundamental pillar of our collective identity. These are days to share and welcome everyone who wants to get to know it.

Patron Saint Festivities and Moors & Christians Virgen de las angustias

Festivals in honor of the Virgen de las Angustias

Every June 10, Vera commemorates the day of its patron saint, the Virgen de las Angustias. Along with the Moors and Christians parade, there will also be the Giants and Big-Heads parade, the floral offering, and the open-air dance in the Plaza Mayor.

Moors and Christians

This popular festival commemorates the Capitulations of Vera 531 years ago. A large parade with nearly a thousand people, including Moors, Christians, and musical bands, travels through the streets of Vera, inviting its residents to get more involved each year.
