Holy Week
The Lenten season in our town announces, with its transfers and Stations of the Cross, the emotion that residents and visitors will share during these days. The different brotherhoods take to the streets with their sacred titular images, keeping alive a heritage that has endured over the centuries and will continue to be a fundamental pillar of our collective identity. San Cleofás Fair and Festivals
The last week of September celebrates the festivals of our patron saint, San Cleofás. Here you will find everything: the opening ceremony in the Town Hall, the opening speech of the Festivals, theater, and the popular open-air dance. These are days to share and welcome everyone who wants to get to know it.
Festivals in honor of the Virgen de las Angustias
Every June 10, Vera commemorates the day of its patron saint, the Virgen de las Angustias. Along with the Moors and Christians parade, there will also be the Giants and Big-Heads parade, the floral offering, and the open-air dance in the Plaza Mayor.
Moors and Christians
This popular festival commemorates the Capitulations of Vera 531 years ago. A large parade with nearly a thousand people, including Moors, Christians, and musical bands, travels through the streets of Vera, inviting its residents to get more involved each year.
Carnivals
Vera is filled with masks, troupes, costumes, and, above all, joy. Moments to enjoy in which tradition mixes with humor and in which the people are the great protagonists of the festival.
Magical Christmas
Every December, Vera transforms into a place full of hope, lights, and joy with the celebration of its Magical Christmas. Music, workshops, shows, parades, and activities for all ages make these holidays an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors.
Enjoy a Christmas program designed to be experienced as a family, sharing traditions and creating fond memories in an environment full of magic.
